Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains what data the OneBudget add-on for Google Sheets ("OneBudget", "we") can access, what it does with it, and the choices you have. It covers the add-on and this website.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Derek Watson, trading as OneBudget, NIE X3736453B, C/ Mayor 15, 22467 Villanova (Huesca), Spain. Contact: hello@onebudget.pro.
The short version
- OneBudget works only on the spreadsheet you have open and on Drive files it creates or folders you choose.
- Your budgets stay in your Google account. OneBudget has no servers or databases of its own and does not copy your data anywhere else.
- We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Google data OneBudget accesses, and why
When you install OneBudget, Google asks you to grant the permissions below. OneBudget uses each one only for the purpose shown.
| Permission | What OneBudget does with it |
|---|---|
| See, edit, create and delete your Google Sheets spreadsheets | Reads and writes the budget spreadsheet you are working in: adding and removing lines, creating phases, changing territory, updating settings and preparing pages for PDF export. OneBudget acts only when you use it, on the spreadsheet you have open. |
| See, edit, create and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app | Saves the PDFs you export, either to a Drive folder you choose with Google's folder picker or to a "OneBudget PDFs" folder it creates in your Drive. It cannot see any other files or folders in your Drive. |
| Connect to an external service | Calls Google's own services on your behalf: the Google Sheets and Google Drive APIs and Google's PDF export. OneBudget does not send your data to any service outside Google. |
| Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications | Shows the OneBudget sidebar and its dialogs inside Google Sheets. |
| See your primary Google Account email address | Checks that your organisation holds a OneBudget licence, by comparing the domain of your email address with the list of licensed organisations. The address is not stored or shared. |
What is stored, and where
- Your budgets are Google Sheets files in your Google Drive. OneBudget changes them only when you use it, and they stay under your control.
- Exported PDFs are saved to your Google Drive, in the folder you chose.
- Small settings are kept in Google's Apps Script storage: for example, whether you have dismissed the welcome message, which folder you chose for a budget's PDFs, and display preferences for a budget. Personal settings are visible only to you; budget settings are stored with that spreadsheet.
- Technical logs: when the add-on runs, Google records technical information such as error messages, sheet names and timings, which we use only to fix problems. These logs do not contain your budget figures and are kept by Google for a limited time.
Who can see your data
We do not share, sell or transfer your data to anyone. People at OneBudget do not read your budgets, except where you ask us to for support (for example, by sharing a file with us), where it is needed for security, or where the law requires it. Google processes the data as the provider of Google Workspace, under Google's own terms and privacy policy.
Google API Services User Data Policy
OneBudget's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Keeping and deleting data
- Your budgets and PDFs stay in your Drive until you delete them.
- To remove OneBudget's access, uninstall the add-on in Google Sheets (Extensions › Add-ons › Manage add-ons) or remove it from your Google Account's third-party connections.
- To have your OneBudget settings deleted, email hello@onebudget.pro.
Security
OneBudget runs entirely on Google's infrastructure and uses Google's sign-in and permissions. It requests only the permissions listed above, and its access to Drive is limited to the files and folders it creates or that you choose.
Your rights
Under data protection law you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict its use. Email hello@onebudget.pro. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how OneBudget uses your Google data, we will tell licensed customers before it takes effect.
